grace: the free and unmerited favor of God
Found this in Julia Fullerton-Batton's Personal Photo Series and thought it was an excellent visual representation of grace and what it feels like to be totally captivated by his presence. What it feels like to be enraptured by his ultimate peace and sovereignty to the point where you actually feel like the burdens of this world are completely weightless. What it feels like when you allow his kingdom to invade the very most intimate parts of you.
Surrendur is the most beautiful gift we can give him. And though it is completely counterintuitive to what we long to give, it is the very cry of his heart that we awaken as sons and daughters of the living God and submit every independent and prideful part of us. We must allow him to come walk through us and with us and stop trying to walk FOR him. To live in communion with him where his heart becomes intertwined with ours and we begin to think and see the way he does is how humanity was designed. This, my friends, is the essence of "Christianity," hence the term Christlikeness which is completely unattainable without the Father leading and guiding, directing and comforting, teaching and imparting, tearing and building, incessantly drawing us closer.
